About

I am a computer scientist who works where people meet technology. My current research, at HIT Lab NZ at the University of Canterbury, looks at how sensors, computer vision and sound can help athletes and coaches work on rhythm, a skill that matters a great deal in sprinting, hurdling and jumping but is hard to measure.
I came to research from both teaching and industry. I joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Rajshahi in 2016 as a Lecturer and became an Assistant Professor in 2019. I taught programming, software engineering, databases, computer graphics, HCI and virtual reality, and coordinated the university’s AR/VR/MR Lab. I am currently on study leave from that position.
Before and alongside teaching, I worked as a software engineer at rajIT Solutions Ltd. from 2012 to 2016, and I have run my own software company, CODEVRS Limited, since 2017. In 2024 I completed a Master of Machine Learning and Computer Vision at the Australian National University on an Australia Awards Scholarship, where I also worked as a teaching assistant.
